Testing, testing! Is this posting to Facebook and Twitter? Please let me know. andrea@momentsbyandrea.com Share this PostI’m so glad that my friend Lorien Saumier needed headshots and portraits of her in yoga poses for her website. We had a great time in the shoot and I learned a lot about yoga while taking the photos. It peaked my interest so I signed up for the classes she offers Thursday and Sunday at her Wilton home. That was in December and I’m still taking her classes twice a week. I now can’t imagine my life without yoga and wonder how I made it this far without discovering how amazing it is!! I feel so much more in touch with my body, mind and spirit. I feel like working on balance and being in touch with my body in yoga has helped me in my quest for balance in life. Thank you Lorien! Anyone want to join me Thursdays at 9:30 and Sundays at 3pm in Wilton? She’s a fabulous instructor! I’m already doing a modified crane pose and I love what yoga is doing or my body! I feel things tightening that I never knew existed. LOL! I had no idea what a work out it can be! This talented woman also teaches knighting classes! She made the sweater, scarf and the gloves in the photos! Contact her if you are interested in learning yoga or knitting! lsaumier@yahoo.com I created these images in my natural light all white room! It was perfect for yoga portraits! Share this Post It’s that time of year again! Oh how I love the beautiful little girls in their gorgeous white dresses! First communion time is a huge milestone for Catholic families as it is one of the holiest and most important occasions in a Roman Catholic person’s life! It is definitely worth celebrating with professional photography. The little girls look so beautiful in their dresses and are worthy of much more than just a few snapshots at the church. This little one came to her sisters First Communion portrait session three years ago and we captured a few images of them together. This year it was her turn and big sister joined in to support her as well. I particularly love the natural light images in my studio and in my white room. I feel like the white room portraits almost look like a glimpse into the future with big sister helping her prepare for her wedding day!
Share this Post The anticipation of the baby’s arrival is such a special time! Not every mommy feels up to it but if you do, creating maternity portraits is something you will never regret. I wish I had something like this with one of my three but I mostly just have snap shots. I also wish I looked as good as this mamma who is about 38 weeks pregnant here! I normally recommend around 26-32 weeks but it depends on the mom. In this case, even 38 weeks worked! We shot part of this maternity session in my studio space but the white images were done in my “all white natural light shooting room” in my home. I’ve attached a picture of that as well. I love both sets of images. We also captured some portraits of her daughter as a celebration of this special almost 2 years they had with their first baby! I remember that time so fondly with my oldest! The black and white maternity images are so timeless! I also offer nude maternity images. Here is a sample from a past session that I loved (shared with client’s permission).
