New Canaan CT Photographer- Ridgefield, Redding, Weston, Darien, Norwalk, Fairfield

I’m all over Fairfield County though I have to admit that a large majority of my clients are from New Canaan & Wilton. You can find me in Fairfield, Weston, Easton, Ridgefield, Darien, Westport, Redding, Bethel Greenwich, Stamford, Rowayton and other areas of Norwalk  too. Actually I shoot in almost every town in Fairfield County and I also have clients from Westchester County as well. You wouldn’t know it because I am an aweful blogger! I just forget to blog. Mainly because I post so much on my Facebook page. Have you seen it? That is where I post daily images and where I announce any specials that I have.

Since I’m so bad about blogging about my portrait sessions I thought I would post a gallery of my latest sneak peeks on Facebook. As the weather warms up my calendar has been filling up too! Nothing like the blooming flowers, green grass and warm sun to make you want to have portraits made. Here are the ones so far from early Spring 2013. Enjoy!

In home professional portraits.- Connecticut

I just love doing portrait sessions in the clients home. The kids are so comfortable in their own home and it’s fun to incorporate the decor of the home into the session.

In this case we got to use the carpet from the little girl’s room as a backdrop.IMG_7057IMG_7166 copyIMG_7187bIMG_7238I love the familiar patterns of the stairwell in their portraits too.

Newborn Photographer- Fairfield, CT

Such a sweet and priceless time for a family! The first few weeks at home with a newborn baby are incredible! It’s like a dream come true!

There is so much anticipation and preparation for the baby’s arrival. The baby’s room with everything set up just right. Dreams of rocking the baby in their rocking chair and cuddling with them in your bed. You can only imagine how amazing it will be and when you get them home you realize it is beyond your wildest dreams.

The problem is that you are so tired it’s hard to appreciate it much less remember it! A newborn session in your home can help you remember all those little details.Oh how I wish I had images like this from when I brought my babies home. I would love to relive that magical time!

Newborn Photographer- Ridgefield & Stamford CT

I used to do most of my newborn sessions in the studio because it was part of what I offered for the Baby Club .  While I still offer studio sessions, recently I have discovered that I really enjoy the lifestyle type of sessions in the clients home.

There is something so magical about capturing this new life and new bond within the walls of the client’s own home. I know that looking back at pictures from my own childhood I find more meaning in the images from home than I do in the studio portraits.

There are so many benefits to a newborn portrait session at home. The baby is calmer, mom is less stressed, older siblings are able to be included with ease and we can incorporate the decor of the home and especially that of the nursery!

Can you do a session in your home? All that I need is some natural light in a room with a bed (preferably with a white comforter but not required). You do NOT need to have a huge house and it does not have to be perfectly clean!

For these two sessions on was in the master bedroom and the other on a bed in the child’s nursery. Size of the room does not matter as I have professional lenses of all sizes and can even shoot in small spaces!

I travel mostly all over Fairfield County and for these last two sessions I was in Ridgefield and Stamford. Both families really enjoyed their session at home!

I do still offer studio sessions. I offer either a black background with parents wearing black too. This is ideal for clients that like black and white portraits. I also offer a white/cream look which I find to be refreshingly simple and beautiful. I’m getting away from the posed baby with all the props. I still have them but I’m trying to focus more on the features of the baby and the relationship between baby and family without the distraction of colors and props.
