NEW Natural Light Studio in Wilton

I’m excited to ANNOUNCE that Moments by Andrea is working with a designer to build a NEW Natural Light Studio at our Wilton home! I’ve had a studio in this space for five years  but the light is not ideal for natural light portraits so we do all studio lighting. I’ve been shooting on location newborn portraits since 2006 and still offering that service. This new studio is for families that want the look of natural light in home newborn portraits but either don’t have a lot of natural light in their home or don’t love the idea of their home being the background for their newborn portraits.

This new space is going to be a bright and beautiful home setting! It’s specifically being designed for maternity and newborn portrait sessions but can also accommodate children, families and head shots as well! The original studio will still be available but this one is going to be so beautiful you’ll want to choose it for your portrait session!

It’s ideal for families from Wilton and the surrounding towns to bring their newborns into a warm, clean heavenly environment that will make your newborn portrait experience relaxing and enjoyable! The images will be bright, crisp, modern, elegant and priceless!

New space will be available for booking newborn sessions this JUNE!

The Wilton studio is easy to find and quick to get to from New Canaan, Ridgefield, Weston, Westport, Norwalk, Redding, Darien and all of Fairfield County as we are less than 10 minutes from I95.

Professional Headshots -Norwalk CT Doctors

WHNE ALL posterI’ve been a patient at Women’s Healthcare of New England at Ipark in Norwalk since I was pregnant with my first baby. I switched to this practice because I was not happy with the treatment I was getting with another doctor.

That was 2002 and I’ve been incredibly happy with them ever since! They have a team of amazing doctors, a great staff and a beautiful centrally located office. I’ve had three healthy babies under their care and continue to go there for my regular exams.

I’ve also had my family and baby photography work on display in their office for many years and it adds a nice touch to the feel of the office. Recently I was talking to their wonderful office manager about their website and he mentioned they were in the process of creating a new one. I suggested professional head shots would be just what they needed and he agreed!

Doctors are busy professionals so I set up a few days where I went into their office for on location head shots at a time that was most convenient for the doctors. They are in Norwalk and I am in Wilton so it was very easy for me to accommodate their schedule. I really enjoyed working with each doctor. Many of them I knew from my years with the practice but a couple of them are new so it was a treat to meet them too! I could tell they fit in perfectly with the other doctors.

They are a very professional but warm and caring doctors and I love that about them! I wanted their images to convey that sentiment and I think I accomplished that with these natural light head shots.

Please check out their new website and the head shots too! http://whcnewengland.com/staff

    Dr. Kerr BEST DR ever.

Proud Member of PPA- Professional Photographers of America

I started my business in 2006 but discovered the national organization Professional Photographers of America (PPA) in early 2008. I found their monthly magazine at a CT chapter meeting of PPA and joined for many reasons but one of them was to receive the magazine! I look forward to its arrival every month!

Back then we did not have the volume of online resources for photographers. The incredible sites like Clickin Moms and Creative Live did not exist yet (or at least I did not know about them), even PPA’s website was not fully developed as an educational resource like it is today. This monthly magazine became one of my go to sources for photography education! I still enjoy it today and have kept almost every copy!

I was honored to participate in their Faces of PPA campaign! The background of this image is one I created from my stash of Professional Photographer (PPA) Magazines! The camera in my hand is my grandmother’s camera that she used to capture memories of my our childhood! Priceless!Faces of PPA Andrea 2014

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Local Photographer Earns Recertification and Wins First Place in State Photography Competition

Andrea Topalian of Wilton, CT Maintains Excellence as a Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) and earns First Place in the Portrait category at the Connecticut State Professional Photographers of America Annual Print Competition.

Wilton, CT— Andrea Topalian of Wilton reaffirmed her status as an elite photographer, once again earning the Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) designation from Professional Photographers of America (PPA). There are fewer than 40 Certified Professional Photographers in Connecticut!

Topalian, who owns and operates Moments by Andrea Photography in Wilton, successfully completed the requirements required to keep her CPP designation, something she originally earned in 2011.

Every three years, CPPs must show that they have maintained the mark of excellence that the CPP designation represents. Topalian earned this designation after meeting challenging requirements that measure her artistic and technical competence.

PPA is the leading body for certifying professional photographers in the U.S. Certified Professional Photographers must pass a written examination, submit a portfolio for review and adhere to a strict code of conduct that upholds their mark of excellence. Certification must be renewed every three years, ensuring continuing confidence in the professionalism of Certified Professional Photographers.

In addition to consistently maintaining the high professional standards required by PPA, this year marked the first time Topalian entered a professional photography competition. Her confidence and abilities paid off, when she won First Place for a maternity portrait entitled ‘Eve.’

“I’ve been a professional photographer since 2006, and I am always looking to take my skills to the next level. That’s why I tried something new by submitting my work in the print competition. It was an amazing honor to have won the first time out,” Topalian said.

Images are judged on Twelve Elements of Merit by a panel of five Master Photographers trained to judge the images by the Professional Photographers of America.

For more information on PPA visit PPA.com. To learn more about the certification program go to certifiedphotographer.com and to view samples of Topalian’s work and for booking information, visit www.momentsbyandrea.com.
